While we certainly don’t live in a “high-crime” area, there are still crimes of opportunity. It is in our best interest to watch out for each other. With many families perhaps traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday and other upcoming winter holidays, this information bears notice. Recently, I was made aware of some break-ins on Eagle Valley Drive, so requested more information from our city police department. Here is what I received back:
Good Morning Ms. Heinrich:
Attached is a report of incidents in your area and shown below is an email I sent to another concerned citizen in your neighborhood. Should you have any questions, please let me know.
Thank you
Wendy

Last fall, there was an attempted break-in to our home. Fortunately, the criminals were not successful in gaining entry, and our pet sitter reported the incident.
The city of Woodbury provides a number of crime prevention programs, tips, and assistance on their web site. Some we might want to think about and maybe discuss at the Annual Meeting on Monday, November 30 at 7 pm (registration starts at 6:30 pm) include the Neighborhood Watch Program and perhaps organizing a community education event around the home premise surveys they offer.
